Nokia has already last week before the Munich District Court reached a decisive victory against HTC: So the Finns erwirkten an import and sales ban for many HTC devices in Germany. So HTC products violate Nokia’s patent EP 1246071, which affects roughly the automatic driver configuration, if you connect a smartphone to a PC. As a result of the judgment some HTC smartphones in Germany may no longer be imported or sold as soon as Nokia deposited a security of 50 million euros.

So as he sets since 2012 existing litigation between Nokia and HTC continue. Nokia HTC throws in a number of countries in different processes to hurt before a total of 50 patents of the company. HTC will now be canceled by an action for annulment, the judgment. According to current HTC smartphones like the HTC one, HTC One Mini and the HTC One Max, however, are already exempt from the judgment, as it does not infringe the patent.

However, to the One series from HTC’s spring for the Nokia patent EP 1148681 hurt showing connections between two devices via Bluetooth or NFC, for example, describes. To obtain a permanent cessation of sales in this case, Nokia would now have to deposit a security of 400 million euros. Currently it looks as if Nokia aims exactly this. Ironically, the Finns HTC have suggested in a public statement to note as attachments for the new year in the future patents.
