revenge managed to reach the quarter-finals: High-satisfied Hernes basketball players were allowed to leave the Hessian Hofheim am early Sunday evening. Similar to 88:92 in the Bundesliga play eight days earlier they had the Rhein-Main Baskets over long distances well under control, unlike in our own hall but this time they kept in heated phases of cool and brought their early double-digit lead ultimately safely into target. “Maybe we can catch so right now a home game,” coach hopes Marek Piotrowski on a bit of luck in the draw for the quarter-final pairings. “Participation in the Final Four would be for Herne and the team certainly a beautiful thing.”

Even without the ill Minja Terzic the HTC Ladies offensively again delivered a strong performance from. But this time they allowed themselves no blackout and defended over the entire distance aggressive. “Especially on the pick and roll, we have set ourselves and so many free throws prevented,” Piotrowski saw with pleasure that the training work had borne fruit during the week.

scored the first two points of the game Svenja Greunke of the line, no one suspected that this would be the last lead the hosts. After five minutes, the HTC was already with 16:7 forward, though lost to the first quarter break a few more points, then launched but in the second quarter with a 12-0 run and had up to the 15th Minute with 35:19 deposed preliminary decision.

Beaten were the baskets so but not yet. They tried everything after the break, the residue nibble, were still several times the gap to six, seven points, but the visitors always know an answer, and brought the victory home safely. Was marred only by the joy of a violation of Kitty Müller, the evil umknickte two minutes before closing.
