HTC Desire 300: entry-level smartphone unboxing and hands-on video

Gradually, more and more manufacturers of smartphones focus on the market segments below the high-end class and HTC is no exception. This is evidenced by the presented Desire in September 300, which will be had for under 200 euros.

we can of course not expect the same quality as for example in a HTC One For the price. Nevertheless, it has understood the company to make the smartphone to a beautiful and, secondly, to manufacture so that it is quite valent feels despite the lower price. The back is kept matt, can be removed and revealed after opening a replaceable battery and slots for SIM card and microSD card.

Actually, the device was announced already for October, but only now we can slowly expect availability. This is also one of the problems I see for this smartphone: When it was announced, we did not know the Moto G. But this is now to buy and although it is the better device, it offers under 169 euros even the price of the Desire 300 quite clearly. A price on the specifications but well worth it nevertheless – or perhaps because of it:

  • 4.3-inch display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon S4

  • dual-core 1 GHz
  • Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with Sense interface
  • 512 MB RAM
  • 4 GB of internal memory (expandable via microSD up to 64 GB)
  • Wi-Fi: IEEE 802.11 b / g / n, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0
  • 5 megapixel cam on the back, on the front VGA
  • 1,650 mAh battery
  • Weight: 120 grams
  • Dimensions: 131.78 mm x 66.23 mm x mm 10:12
  • If you notice that we only have one Snapdragon S4 with 1 GHz, 512 MB RAM, 4 GB internal memory and a cam without flash here, you will find yourself, that this is merely an Entry Device-level concerns, which is likely to have difficulties despite a price below 200 euros, to compete against the cheap competition.

Who but necessarily a favorable HTC Smartphone wants gets a device that claims simple enough, is attractively designed and processed. Check out the Desire 300 best in the clip once – Roland it packs not only from, but explains it well and compares it to the major competitors in this price range, the Motorola Moto G (and forgive him when he here and there accidentally HP instead HTC says – he has previously turned ;) massive HP Videos)
