Tarted up with Snapdragon HTC Butterfly 600 pixels and ultra - Heise Newsticker

HTC has unveiled in Taiwan its new Full HD Butterfly S smartphone. In the Android device now is a lot of technology from the flagship HTC one, the larger 5-inch display with 1920 × 1080 pixels remains the Butterfly S, however. Below sits a Snapdragon Qualcomm processor 600, which also has four cores, but is higher with 1.9 GHz clocked than the old chip. He also surpassed the CPU in One, which has 200 MHz less on the clock.

New Butterfly also the camera is on the back, which only has a 4 megapixel resolution. It uses HTC’s “Ultra pixel” technology baptized with larger 1/3-Zoll-Sensor that will cater mostly for better pictures in low light. On the front there is also a camera with 2.1 megapixels. HTC has improved the speakers which are now located at the front and offer stereo sound.

The modem supports UMTS with HSPA but no LTE. In addition, there is, among other things 802.11ac/n-WLAN (2.4 and 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and use an infrared transmitter to the television. The operating system Android 4.1 comes with HTC’s own Sense interface 5 is used.

costs will be the HTC Butterfly S 22,900 Taiwan dollars (equivalent to about 575 euros) and available from July in Taiwan. If and when the device appears also outside Taiwan HTC has not yet been announced. The first Butterfly already appeared in October 2012 in Japan, but only came in April in Germany on the market.
