HTC one: For the U.S. market, even without Sense UI.

The HTC one is in the vanilla version of Android now available in the U.S. pure-play goals available. From the 9th July will deliver the Google Edition with Android 4.2, but only within the United States. Cost: $ 599. Of an import to Germany we do not recommend.

HTC, Samsung

announces the HTC followed the competitor Samsung. He had already introduced its Galaxy S4 at the Google I / O in mid-May 2013, a “Google Edition”, which also manages out of house without adjustments and additional manufacturer UI. The advantage is that the phone will be sold directly by Google and thus supplied with updates faster. However, it will also give this version for the time being only in the American Play.

The facilities of Vanilla-One

HTC One import to Germany?

Google’s version of the One is currently offered only in U.S.-play goals. Via German Store is the smartphone unavailable. Google also provides the device from within the United States. If you want it, either have a valid U.S. postal address with U.S. credit card, or friends in the U.S. that put the device into reception. A major drawback, the U.S. variant, however, according to Google data sheet in the One PlayStore does not support the German LTE frequencies. While it is understood in Germany the common GSM and 3G bands, you would have to 4G in this country but do completely.

When the One with pure Android in the German store is, is not known. The same is true for the Galaxy S4 from Google. The rumors about the Xperia Z with vanilla Android have not yet been confirmed.

vanilla ROM in the works?

According to the statements of a ROM developer release an official firmware version with pure Android 4.2 for the top smartphone HTC one is imminent. As the developer announced via Twitter, HTC is reportedly planning a ROM with vanilla Android 4.2 offering for the One. . Moreover, HTC is already publish the officially announced update to Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with Sense UI in a few weeks

class=”general2″> CHIP Online says:
If the developers are right, this is a good news for all users of an HTC one, the latest winner in our mobile leaderboard. Because not everyone tells the proprietary Sense UI 5.0. Not to be underestimated are also the faster updates for the pure Android. But initially only benefit the users overseas, where the One without Sense UI is offered. If you have the ability to import the device, you just have to do without LTE. (cma / wh / bh)
