With the HTC One have the Taiwanese scored a surprise hit last year. The 4.7 inch bolide has the crisis-hit group, although not out of the vale of tears, but shown with its stylish aluminum unibody enclosure the world: Android does not have to be ugly. But now surfaced pictures of an early prototype show a completely different design – Drögen plastic garment

No question, 2013 was a good year for design aesthetes: not only the apps have visually caught up with their iOS counterparts, even Google has to the better paid with Beautiful Design Winter respect. Also the smartphones in the Android camp were impressive at last – quite literally. The Sony Xperia Z (test), Huawei Ascend P6 (test) and especially the HTC one (test) have shown that not only Apple can build beautiful smartphones. The fact that the story in the case of the HTC one but also have very different can end up showing hands-on photos of an early prototype of the device, which has been excavated engadget.
The most striking difference from the final HTC One is the use of plastic polycarbonate instead of aluminum without a doubt. This is similar to the prototype optically very HTC Droid DNA that has already come to the end of 2012 the market and together with its sister model HTC J Butterfly was the first smartphone with a full HD display.
the button layout is HTC has struggled through at the end to change its usual to date design philosophy: while the prototype still came along with three capacitive button for Home, Back, and the multitasking menu, the latter was the HTC One completely deleted and replaced by a double tap on the home button. Interestingly, the colleagues from Engadget who have come into the fingers of the prototype, the Multitasking button does not work. Maybe HTC has therefore played a long time with the idea to delete the button, but decided at the end to it.

tastes are known to be different, I personally am certainly glad that HTC has opted for the familiar design of the One and broken with the plastic pabulum. If only a certain manufacturer from South Korea would take it as an example …
