design and processing
The HTC Desire 300 leans on its form language to the top of the range HTC One. The housing is box-shaped, but has rounded corners. However, be deprived Desire 300 users on the speakers typical of the One above and below the screen. Above the display is located at 300 Desire only a small ear speaker. To the right is the VGA front camera.
Below the screen are two touch keys: Back and Home. The Back button is placed to the left, the home button HTC has moved to the right as the One. Between the two buttons there is a gap. This is unusual for newcomers, there is the home button but most smartphones centered below the display. The two touch buttons are not illuminated, making operation more difficult in the dark.
Another minus point: For a smartphone with a Bilddiaogonale of 4.3 inches, the HTC Desire 300 is relatively large. The Motorola Moto G is much smaller, despite its 4.5-inch display. In the test the Desire 300 wore during transport in a pocket easily.
While there are parallels to the One series design, the processing of Desire 300 is entirely different. The housing is not a piece of aluminum, but entirely of plastic. This has the Desire 300 a dull, rough surface, which shows resistant against fingerprints and smudges.
The back can be easily removed, and the user access to battery, memory and SIM card slot is granted. Nevertheless, the lid sits on the Desire 300 on so firmly that he did not jump off with smaller falls. Also, excessively slippery is not the case. In terms of processing, the Desire is one of the better 300 models in its price range.
