One HTC: HTC starts with delivery of the update to Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean - AreaMobile

HTC has apparently begun shipping the next major Android update for the HTC one. First users of the HTC one without branding in Taiwan reported that they could see the new Android 4.2.2 version already play.

The new firmware update for the HTC one with the version number 2.24.709.1 is 465 megabytes in size and raises the operating system version on the stage 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. According to AndroidCentral HTC has now begun in the home market with the delivery of the new firmware. A few days ago the Munich mobile operator O2 had already announced the upgrade start for this week.

The new firmware brings with among other things a revised, widgets, support lock screen, a widget panel with a modified arrangement, a new Quick Settings menu, an improved autofocus Ultra pixel camera and a battery indicator in percentage figures. Users of the HTC one with updated software can also hide some annoying black menu bar.

The German press agency of HTC today morning were the absence of better information to start the firmware upgrade to Android 4.2.2 for the HTC one. HTC Germany had made in early June a roll-out of the software for mid-June in view. The HTC one is delivered in this country with Android 4.1.2.
