HTC falls short of expectations - Future Zone

Although

net profit rose, long-term success, however, doubted.

The Taiwanese company HTC released its quarterly results on Friday. Due to strong sales of the new HTC One’s net profit rose to 32 million euros after the quarter had brought a record low. The revenues of 1.8 billion euros. But missed HTC, Samsung as well as to analysts’ expectations. Compared to the same period 2012, the crash is obvious. Then the profit at 190 million, revenues totaled 2.35 billion euros.

The Experts believe that the increase in sales will be only temporary and could be in the third quarter over. “HTC could bring new products in the third quarter, but the competition from Apple and Chinese brands is great,” said analyst Peter Liao of Nomura Securities.
