HTC One S does not receive Android updates more - Mobilegeeks

Unsightly news from the house of HTC: The HTC one S is not considered with the Android Jelly Bean Update to version 4.2.x or even other versions, even though the phone is only a year old

HTC One S does not receive Android updates more

This morning I wrote that Android 4.2.2 is currently being rolled out for the current flagship HTC One . The HTC One S comes from the prior year and is unfortunately not met with so much attention in software.

Where the term “attention” is probably the wrong choice, because HTC has the well tested and is of the opinion that would no longer be in newer versions of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean as the installed that all the wheels fall so perfectly into each other. But let the HTC but better explain itself – a corresponding press release we received earlier:

S HTC ONE GETS NO UPDATE TO ANDROID 4.2.2
HTC confirmed that the HTC One S no update is received 5 or higher on the operating system and the software versions of Android 4.2.2 and HTC Sense.
HTC has its own specification to provide for each of your devices, a stable and high-quality software to work properly under all conceivable scenarios. The current software system based on Android Jellybean 4.1 and Sense4 + works with any hardware version of the HTC One S both stable and performant, thus ensuring the best user experience, with current Google services like Google Now or Play Music are fully supported.

From this point one can indeed might begin to understand the company’s decision, but at least for my personal feeling, it remains creepy, that it had no little money zulegt a smart phone whose operating system is already a year later too old for updates – or the technology in the device.
