HTC may from 6 December his smartphone “Mini One” no longer sell in the UK. A British judge has given Nokia in a patent procedural law. HTC violated with a microchip that is used in all models One patented by Nokia. The flagship HTC One must however continue to be offered.

The judge is of the view that a ban on sales of the larger smartphone HTC would damage more in the UK than the Nokia patent infringement. A prohibition on the smaller “Mini One” is but legitimate. In addition, HTC did to the market launch of the Mini already from patent infringement.

If it is possible

HTC on appeal does not address the allegations, the ban is extended to all but one models. Nokia also lays claim to damages.
