Update (December 10): This Samsung devices get KitKat

SamMobile published a list of Samsung smartphones that will receive an update to Android KitKat. An anonymous source played the blog to the document. Until now, according to ZDNet only states that the top model Galaxy S4 to get the new version 4.4. If the information from the list, also owners of the Galaxy Note 2 or the smaller models Galaxy S3 and S4 mini may give hope. Many cheap models will get the new version. Previously, a spokesman told ZDNet that the company would inform in due course on its planned updates.

Motorola

Other manufacturers are announcing a software update. Motorola promises about an update to that available in the U.S. Moto X. For the Razr i and the Razr HD Google’s daughter also pulls updates into consideration, suggesting a status page. Older models come up empty.

HTC

The HTC one gets the new Android version within 90 days after publication. The betrayed the smartphone maker in an interview with Engadget. Galaxy Nexus

Sad news comes to the users of the Galaxy Nexus: The Nexus veteran receives no KitKat update. Google guarantees Device updates for 18 months, but the Samsung phone is already two years old. In addition, the hardware is outdated and the chip maker Texas Instruments has retired from the business. Without cooperation, it is difficult for Google to bring the new Android version flawlessly on the old device.
