middle of last year the first update had been shipped to Android 4.2.2 for the top smartphone then. Now shows that One X + owners will no longer be supplied with new software from HTC. Thus, the former top model flies after only 14 months on the list of update candidates.

The latest information was originally made famous by the Dutch Twitter Support by HTC. He had a final rejection for an Android update for the HTC X + given to the anxious inquiry of a user. Meanwhile, this message has also been confirmed on the official HTC Twitter account in England. This leaves the HTC One X + are in software on Android 4.2 with Sense 5.

“We can confirm that the One X + no further Android updates will get” it says in the brief message from HTC UK. Whether the Group will further bug fixes or other updates to the HTC one X + deliver, is not currently known.

Also the HTC X could go empty
After this message may also be questioned that owners of its predecessor HTC X can give hope for an update. An official rejection there is not in this case though. In another message on Twitter but the group also shares here with that there are currently no plans to equip the weaker predecessor model with Android 4.4.

Course there are no guarantees when buying a smartphone for updates. That a top model after only a software update and about a year on the subject of “newest OS” falls by the wayside, for the clients, but certainly not a good signal.
