HTC X came in April 2012 in the trade, the One X + was followed in November of the same year. Both models are traded occasionally even on the internet. In August 2013 HTC had both smartphones and the model One XL update to Android 4.2, while the mobile phones equipped with the new user interface Sense 5.0, HTC had introduced in 2013 with the successor of HTC One.

This update is thus the last major update for the device. However, HTC is holding a back door open. The manufacturer writes on Twitter that there are currently no plans for further updates. Should this situation change, HTC would announce.


HTC One S remains on Android 4.1

In July 2013 HTC had already discontinued support for the 2012 also introduced HTC One S. The smartphone was even no longer updated to Android 4.2, but will remain on Android 4.1, including the older user interface Sense 4
