class=”wp_keywordlink”> Amazon and HTC have reportedly teamed up to develop a line of smartphones. The Financial Times reported, citing unnamed sources. HTC wanted to deliver to the Financial Times no comments to Amazon. It merely stated that it was always open for cooperation with carriers and other technology companies. To a demand from News.com said the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer, “We do not comment on rumors and speculation.”

already for over a year there is speculation about an Amazon smartphone, but the last rumor mill particularly violent. As a former Wall Street Journal reporter in early September reported that Amazon will be distributed free smartphone, the online retailer immediately disagreed, saying that he had “no plans to offer a phone this year. And if we launch a phone in the future, it will not be free. “

The Financial Times report is consistent with earlier reports that Amazon is developing a new range of mobile devices. One of them is to have a 3D-capable smartphone, which uses a similar technique to track the eye movements such as Samsung’s current flagship model Galaxy S4 .

HTC has already helped another industry heavyweight to develop a smartphone. Together with Facebook presented earlier this year the HTC first, on which the software collection Facebook home runs. However, the hoped-for success never came. Announced in early June, the U.S. carrier AT & T to sell out the “Facebook Phone” after he lowered the price to 99 cents.
