Galaxy Note 3 outclassed the HTC one in Benchmark Duel - mrmad.de

Who buys the Galaxy Note 3 would also like to know how the phablet beats compared to the competition. To this end, we have hunted the Galaxy Note with the HTC one by some popular benchmark programs and show you the results.

ten rounds, we let the two top-class smart phones to compete against each other, as some time ago the two “small” rival S4 Galaxy Mini and HTC One Mini. On both devices, Android 4.3 is installed (respectively with TouchWiz Sense). More information about the individual benchmark programs and links to download can be found in the corresponding post:

HTC One Mini vs Samsung Galaxy Mini S4 – Benchmark comparison

For information: The results of the Grade 3 you will always find the left, the HTC one on the right

.

Round 1: AnTuTu

Right at the beginning kicks off the Galaxy Note as the fire and lets the HTC one far behind. In the other tests, it appears in OpenGL ES 2.0 with similar from 5267 to 3236, the Open Gl ES 3.0 test there is a draw. This leads even as HTC One nominally with 3357 points ahead of grade 3 with 3328 points.

Round 2: Vellamo

Can the HTC one in HTML benchmark, in which the performance of the web browser is tested even keep up to some extent, it looks at the Metal Bench quite different: Here, the CPU performance is investigated here and pulls the Galaxy Note with 3 seven-league boots of it.

Round 3: Quadrant Standard

oldie benchmark quadrant of the difference between the counterparty is exorbitant: almost one might think between the two smartphone is more than one CPU generation. Apparently benefited here the Grade 3 additionally the main memory.

Round 4: CPU Prime

6299 to 4270 points, so one-sided result in CPU Prime, with the CPU and RAM are required. Here, the 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 800 over the 600 with 1.7 Ghz Snapdragon beats finally through, not to mention the extra gigabyte of RAM altogether.

Round 5: Epic Citadel

Epic Citadel, the situation is a little more complicated than the results suggest ultra high settings: only in this region of the Galaxy Note 3 is clearly the front. The HTC one can keep up with normal and high settings. Both devices deliver an average of 60 frames per second, at ultra high settings, the HTC one suddenly breaks together: while the Grade 3 provides more than 50 frames, the frame rate drops on the HTC One at just under 35

Round 6: 3DMark

3D Mark can actually be run through three different tests that are adapted to the different classes smartphone. For the first two, the Galaxy Note is too strong, so we can only compare the Ice Storm Unlimited test each other. The score 3 wins this round with more than 6,000 points ahead.

Round 7: Geekbench 3

paid Geekbench 3 simulates both the performance in single-core applications, but also provides a multi-processor test. In Einkerntest the difference, however, is not so serious in the multi-core test already. For comparison, the iPhone 5C (Review for iPhone 5C) scores here with 710 points, respectively, in 1281, that is still partially in front of the HTC one, although the Apple smartphone tinkers the previous CPU

.

Round 8: Smartbench 2012

Round 8, the HTC one laughs, because it wins this round with 9853 to 6840 points! In this test, the 3D polygons are automatically scaled and processed for appropriate resolution.

Round 9: Octane benchmark

The browser-based Javscript total of 13 different benchmark tests are performed, are examined in both 2D and 3D performance, and the OS kernel is put under the microscope. The score 3 wins clear that HTC one is even behind the iPhone 5C that comes to at least 2826 points.

Round 10: SunSpider 1.0.1

tenth round and last chance for the HTC one to achieve at least a further consolation goal. In a browser SunSpider 1.0.1 benchmark is run, again in Javascript. The Galaxy Note 3 wins (lower value better!), But the distance keeps up with 598.4 ms to 777.6 ms in contrast to the previous rounds but within limits. For comparison, the iPhone comes 5C to 718 ms, beating, albeit limited, also the HTC one

.

Conclusion: victory not surprising, but surprisingly clear

That the grade 3 would go win the match, I knew in advance. A new CPU generation could be some benchmark programs and obtain their full potential to flaunt. This is in everyday use is rarely the case, why HTC One user results should not be too much to heart. But I was part of the intense difference is not so aware. Not only that, the Snapdragon CPU 800 calculates much faster, also the 3 GB memory (effectively available to the touch, but only 2.38 GB available) must be paid tribute in this duel. Whether and in what way the benchmark results were manipulated, I can not resolve conclusively. An additional explanation for the sharp difference but they would provide.

order for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 in terms of benchmark (Vorest) is the unique top dog. It will be interesting to see how the phablet compared to the Sony Xperia Z1 or the LG G2 beats. This, hopefully more soon.
