Prior to working at AndroidPIT, Stephan worked for years as a content manager for WORLD online and as a news editor at TIME online, while at the same time he tried to complete his Master’s degree at the Free University of Berlin. After he was disillusioned with the political coverage, he decided his journalistic attention to something more concrete and truer to judge – technology that changed the social life. Since he was increasingly annoyed by the quasi-religious nature of the Apple phenomenon, he naturally developed into a satisfied Android users. He is a colossal science nerd and a passionate musician and spends a lot of time to write and produce music and nostalgic of the good old time with his punk rock band to remember.

Today we have for you the first pictures of the HTC Max One Then a Samsung patent from 2011 has surfaced, offering a first look at an alternative or even the future design and highlights that Samsung has not ever before to put on plastic. And who had hoped that the upcoming LG flagship G2 has a fingerprint scanner, will probably be disappointed.

HTC One Max: First pictures surfaced

Expected

is the big brother of HTC One in September. Final specifications we approach already for a while to. The current status provides the following:

processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 800, 2.3 GHz
Memory 2 GB RAM
display 5.9-inch, 1080p, Super LCD 3
Internal Memory 16 GB + microSD slot
Battery 3,300 mAh
Operating System Android 4.3

There are now also finally images. Who here expects surprises, will be disappointed. Even more: Apparently the One Max has the same polycarbonate frame as the Mini One. This is surprising because it had explicitly told me at HTC (though hardly credible, see my first impression of the One Mini), so that the mini has only a plastic frame, because it was not without in small size to build. Apparently this is true then probably for pretty much any size except that of the original HTC one …

Also, the release date in September makes sense, since the IFA finally finds place where some manufacturers (Samsung, Sony and more) to introduce their next big equipment.

Galaxy series: In the future, no more plastic

?

Long war rages of friends and enemies of polycarbonate, which is Samsung’s most popular lawyer on the internet and in the tech press. If there is one aspect that is almost universally criticized the Galaxy devices, it is next to the little imaginative design policy, the choice of materials. A patent from the year 2011 and 2012 now shows that the Koreans have long to think about material changes. Even a slightly squarer design is indicated here.

galaxy metal Much can not be deduced from these rough drawings. But patent sketches are. / © Patent Bolt Our rating: We had already reported that the 3.0 design era – that is, all devices on the Galaxy Note 3 – will make at Samsung with polycarbonate end. In at least advise. Such far-reaching changes have always known, a longer lead time, and so is the time frame is not as far-fetched as it may seem. Over all, it is believable that Samsung in the medium term adopted from plastic and there-oriented, where the celebrated designs are now: metal or aluminum. Nevertheless, it is only a source and I would not give too much on the here indicated forms. Because some may still happen.

LG G2: Nano-SIM and no fingerprint scanner

fingerprint scanners are mentioned more often lately, and recently we reported that both Samsung and Apple are pushing in this direction, but have problems in mass production. What may have plans for whatever LG, the button on the back of G2 between the volume buttons, apparently is not a fingerprint scanner, but a power button. This emerges from a manual of G2, which has now become public. We can see this also, that the G2, just like the iPhone 5 and the Moto X, is based on a nano-SIM card.

lgg2 manual lead It remains in the mini-revolution: Buttons on the back. In addition, even a fingerprint scanner might have been too much of something new. © nowhereelse.fr Our rating: Whether this manual now is authentic or not is impossible to say. This is less important than the fact that fingerprint scanners can not be expected, in fact. Still, the technology paves th e manufacturers too many difficulties, and the G2 is certainly so long in the making that one must assume that it is “old” for this trend. Moreover, we have seen no reliable evidence, not even in the video that there were already about the device that made us believe in fingerprint scanner.
