After a few weeks before the first pictures of the HTC Max One leaked and it was a fingerprint sensor to recognize has been suggested that this is only a good photo montage. The latest leaked images contain, however, again a sensor to scan the fingerprint. This can be found on the images below the camera.
This now seems clear that HTC has installed a biometric security mechanism in its HTC One Max. It can be seen on another picture, a menu that has the symbol of a fingerprint. It could be in all probability the fingerprint check on and off. Uncertain, however, whether this is just a Chinese version.
So the applications remains to be seen. Still somewhat limited
It therefore remains to be seen whether the fingerprint sensor will be installed even with European appliances. Whether the sensor can serve as a prominent feature, however, to attract more customers for themselves, is highly doubtful. The existing security mechanisms of Android would theoretically be enough. Thus, if it were, the sensor merely a gimmick that would likely be used less frequently than the standard security mechanisms.
